What is a micro-inverter? What is the Enphase Micro-inverter System? An inverter is a power converter that converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). Traditionally, this has meant one, centrally-located inverter converts all of the DC current from the entire PV array into grid-compliant AC power. A micro-inverter is a device that converts the DC output of a single solar module into grid-compliant AC power. AC power then travels upstream through an ordinary branch circuit to the service panel. XW MPPT 60-150
The Xantrex XW Solar Charge Controller (XW SCC) is a photovoltaic (PV) charge controller that tracks the electrical maximum power point of a PV array to deliver the maximum available current for charging batteries. When charging, the XW SCC regulates battery voltage and output current based on the amount of energy available from the PV array and state-of-charge of the battery.
The XW SCC can be used with 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60-volt DC battery systems and is able to charge a lower nominal-voltage battery from a higher nominal-voltage array. For example, the XW SCC can charge a 12-volt battery from a 36-volt array. This provides flexibility for installers to use longer wiring runs without compromising efficiency. The XW Solar Charge Controller can be installed (in single or multi-unit configurations) with Xantrex XW Hybrid Inverter/Charger(s) or can be used in other solar energy systems where a solar charge controller is needed. The Xantrex XW Solar Charge Controller incorporates a dynamic Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm designed to maximize energy harvest from the PV array. The MPPT constantly adjusts the operating points of the array to ensure it stays on the maximum power point. It does not stop energy harvest to sweep the array like some other competing products. This feature is beneficial all sunlight conditions, especially in areas with fast moving cloud cover and quickly changing solar conditions. |
XW MPPT 80-600
Schneider Electric's Xantrex XW-MPPT 80-600 Charge Controller is the first PV battery charge controller to use DC input voltages of up to 600 volts. This breakthrough in charge controller technology significantly decreases the current needed in an array, increasing string sizing and allowing you to place your solar panel array farther from the battery bank. It can be used with PV arrays with voltages ranging from 195 to 550 VDC and can support an output of up to 80 amps into the battery for battery voltages of 24 or 48 VDC (nominal). The PV open circuit voltage must not exceed 600 VDC.
The Xantrex XW MPPT 80 600 tracks the maximum power point of a solar panel array in order to deliver the maximum available current for charging batteries. During charging, the XW MPPT 80 600 charge controller regulates the battery voltage and output current based on the amount of energy available from the solar panel array and the present state-of-charge of the battery. The XW MPPT 80-600 charge controller can be used with the Xantrex XW inverters and power distribution panel, or used by itself in other Photovoltaic systems. A battery temperature sensor is included with the controller. |

The XW Power Distribution Panel with conduit box is factory-wired and labeled to support a code-compliant single-inverter installation. The XW PDP can be configured to mount on either side of the inverter/charger. Internal wiring and breakers can be added to expand the XW System with up to three inverters, four charge controllers, or other equipment to support larger systems, including three-phase.

The XW SCP is a Xanbus™-enabled device featuring a graphical, backlit LCD screen that displays system configuration and diagnostic information for all devices connected to the network. When installed as an XW System accessory, the XW System Control Panel eliminates the need for separate control panels for each device and gives a single point of control to set up and monitor an entire XW Power System. Only ONE system control panel may be installed per Xanbus Nextwork. Please Note: The XW System Control Panel is only compatible with XW System Components, including XW Inverter/Chargers, XW MPPT Charge Controllers and the XW Auto Gen Start.
